The Story of S-TISA
STISA (Science Tokyo International Students Association), originally known as TISA, started back in October 2007. We are a friendly, non-political, non-sectarian group with a simple mission: to make campus life better for international and Japanese students by organizing great programs, offering useful services, and building connections between students from all over the world.
When COVID hit, we had to pause everything, and the council was dismissed. But after things settled, we rebuilt from scratch, and our spirit never died. We've had our ups and downs, but thanks to supporters like you, we’re still going strong!
With the university changing its name to the Institute of Science Tokyo, TISA also became STISA. We may have a new name, but our purpose is the same—creating an amazing, supportive community with a long history behind it.
